Bodie Island Lighthouse

Standing nearly 170 feet tall, this lighthouse is one of only a dozen brick tower lighthouses left in the US. Built in 1872 near Nags Head, NC, this tower still retains its original first order Fresnel lens. The island was named after the Body family who once lived there.
